Wi-Fi driver patch
- 5G Standalone (SA) mode – No more dropping to LTE every 4 hours. The modem keeps the NR connection alive across low-signal dips.
- IP Passthrough (Bridge Mode) – Previously, it would die after ~40k NAT sessions. Now it survives a full week of torrent + Zoom load.
- GUI lag – The web interface no longer times out when querying
/cgi-bin/luci/admin/status/overview.
- You will lose any custom band-locking or telnet access if you had them. Re-apply after the fix.
- This method did not lock the bootloader again – I can still flash other mods.
- Do not accept OTA updates after this – they caused the original brick.
“The ‘zlt s20 firmware fixed’ file saved me $80 from buying a new router. The boot loop was driving me crazy. Flashing took 4 minutes. Thank you.” — Maria L., Philippines zlt s20 firmware fixed
- Band locking – You still need to edit
/etc/modem/modem_configmanually. The “locked” flag in GUI is cosmetic. - IPv6 PD (Prefix Delegation) – Still only gets a /64. Good luck routing to downstream devices.
- Power cycling after brownout – The PSU is marginal. “Fixed” firmware won’t fix hardware.
