Installing UAD (Universal Audio) plugins is primarily handled through the UA Connect application, which manages both native (UADx) and hardware-dependent (UAD-2) software.  Step 1: Download & Install UA Connect 

To download UAD plugins, follow these steps: uad plugins 4install download

• UAD Meter & Control Panel
• UAD System Patching
• All UAD-2 drivers
• A different set of plugins (most classic UAD titles like Ampex, Studer, Ocean Way).

Step 3: Installation Procedure

For UAD-2 (DSP / Apollo / Satellite)

1. Close your DAW completely.
2. Run the downloaded .exe (Windows) or .pkg (macOS) installer.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts. Accept the license agreement.
4. Choose installation location (default is recommended).
5. Restart your computer when prompted (critical for driver installation).
6. After restart, open UAD Meter & Control Panel to confirm your hardware is detected.
