5. Trainer & Difficulty Adjustments
- Falkner (first gym) now leads with a Prankster+Tailwind Murkrow – early difficulty spike reduced slightly (Murkrow removed after rematch).
- Misty – Lanturn replaced with Chinchou (less immediate Thunder Wave pressure).
- Sabrina – Indeedee-F no longer carries Terrain Extender (Psychic Terrain lasts 5 turns now).
- Elite Four – All members have maxed EVs on every Pokémon (previously only Champion-level had full optimization).
- Post-game – Brock (rematch) and Blue teams updated with new moves/abilities from 3.1.
- Competitive Impact
- No longer consumed if the Paradox mon is under the effect of Neutralizing Gas or Gastro Acid at the start of battle.

Wild Encounters
- Route 1 (morning): Removed Pidgey (overrepresented), added Fletchling (5% chance).
- Viridian Forest: Wurmple encounter rate reduced from 30% → 15%. Added Kricketot (10%).
- Rock Tunnel: Added Sandygast (night only, 5%).
- Safari Zone (Zone 3): Replaced Kangaskhan (rare) with Kangaskhan (still there) + added Komala (5%).
- Seafoam Islands: Spheal now appears in all floors, not just B4.
- Power Plant: Added Tynamo (10% in electric rock piles).
