To use R-Studio Portable, you will need: Go to the Posit (RStudio) Download Page

  • Go to the Posit (RStudio) Download Page.
  • Scroll down to "All Installers".
  • Look for the Windows Vista/7/8/10+ Zip/Tarball version. Do not download the .exe installer; you want the Zip archive.

Official Setup:

  1. Plug in your USB drive. Let's assume it is drive E:\.
  2. Create a folder named R_Portable.
