The PlayStation 3 era of gaming is remembered for its incredible library. One title that still commands a massive following is Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 (2009). However, modern players face a massive hurdle. The game's highly sought-after Downloadable Content (DLC) was delisted years ago due to expiring Marvel licenses.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is currently not available for purchase on PS4, PS5, or PC (it was delisted from Steam in 2018). The only legal version today is a used physical PS3/360 disc. Consequently, Sony and Activision rarely pursue legal action against personal archival of these DLC files.

The Process:

1. Insert your USB into the right-most port of your PS3.
2. Navigate to Package Manager → Install Package Files → Standard.
3. Select your USB device.
4. If you have a Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 PS3 DLC PKG new that is self-contained, it will appear as a single entry. Press X to install.
5. Wait for the “Installation completed” message (approx. 120MB total).
6. Critical step: Launch Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Do not load a save yet. Go to “Options” → “Roster”. If you see “Juggernaut” or “Carnage” as locked but selectable—or better, already unlocked—it worked.
