Unlike many visual novels that rely on high-concept fantasy or sci-fi elements to drive the plot, Living Together grounds itself in reality. The stakes are emotional rather than existential. The central question isn’t "Will you save the world?" but rather, "How will you navigate the complicated feelings of the people sleeping down the hall?"

- Create Residents: each player picks an archetype and fills in:
- First week: Do nothing romantic. Focus on chores, cooking, and basic conversation. Ask about her day, not her past.
- Respect locked doors. Until Trust > 60, treat Elena’s room as a sealed zone.
- Use the new Town Hub. v0.40b allows you to buy small gifts. A new houseplant or a specific brand of tea (learn her preference through dialogue) grants a hidden Trust multiplier.
- Don’t grind. The game punishes repetitive actions. Saying “Good morning” every day is fine. Saying “Nice weather” every day will bore Elena and lower Comfort.
- Save before major choices. While the game has checkpoints, some branches (asking about her family vs. asking about her work) lock off entire conversation trees.
