Abstract This paper explores the popularity of the 2013 film G.I. Joe: Retaliation (commonly referred to as "G.I. Joe 2") within the Mongolian online community. By analyzing search trends related to "Mongol heleer" (in Mongolian language), this study highlights how Hollywood action franchises dominate digital viewership in Mongolia. The paper examines the film’s narrative structure, its reception among Mongolian audiences, and the broader trend of English-to-Mongolian subtitle dubbing in the digital era.
