Punjabi plays

Gursharan Singh wrote over two hundred drama scripts. Many of these were original plays, others were based on short stories, novels and even poems from contemporary writings. In 2010-11, writer and artistic director, Kewal Dhaliwal, published seven volumes of Gursharan Singh’s collected plays and released them in Chandigarh in the presence of Gursharan Singh. We discovered a few more scripts after the publication of these seven volumes. These will be brought out in another volume in the coming year. The seven volumes are being added with much gratitude to Kewal Dhaliwal, who is also a member of the Trust.

Empire of the Sun — "Walking on a Dream" (Album)

Overview

"Walking on a Dream" is the debut studio album by Australian electronic duo Empire of the Sun (Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore). Released in October 2008, the record blends synth-pop, electronic, and dreamlike pop production, characterized by lush synth textures, catchy hooks, and theatrical aesthetics. It established the duo’s distinctive sound and visual identity, combining retro-futuristic glam with polished electronic production.

The album's lyrics explore themes of love, hope, and disconnection in a postmodern world. Steele's distinctive vocals bring the lyrics to life, while Clarke's production skills create a sonic landscape that is both nostalgic and futuristic.

You can't talk about Walking on a Dream without mentioning its flamboyant visual style. Drawing inspiration from 70s sci-fi and iconic film posters like Indiana Jones and Star Wars, the duo donned elaborate costumes and makeup. The music video for the title track was famously filmed "renegade style" on the streets of Shanghai, a move that nearly led to the band's arrest. Empire Of The Sun Walking On A Dream Album Zip Hit
