While the software is no longer actively supported or updated, legacy versions are still available through specific vendor support portals for users with existing entitlements: Disable UAC temporarily to avoid permission errors
Installation Steps
- Disable UAC temporarily to avoid permission errors.
- Run the installer as Administrator.
- Choose "Server and Client" installation for an all-in-one setup.
- When prompted for the database, create a new SQL instance or connect to remote DB.
- After installation, launch the BNA Management Console.
- Import your license file (
.xmlor.lic). - Add your switches using their IP addresses and SNMP credentials (public/private strings).
Because the product is at its end-of-life, general public downloads are restricted. Access is typically granted through these channels: Broadcom Support Portal
- Locate the menu bar (usually top right or via a hamburger menu).
- Click on "Download Center" (sometimes labeled "Downloads").
- Authorized partners sometimes retain installers for existing customers.
Please note: Broadcom has officially discontinued Brocade Network Advisor as a standalone software product as part of the transition to Brocade SANnav and Fabric Vision technologies. While the software is no longer sold for new perpetual licenses, existing customers with active support contracts can still access it, and legacy versions remain available for lab/legacy equipment management.
