For the last decade, teachers have stood at the edge of the digital playground, hands on their hips, shouting "Get off that phone!" It hasn't worked. The kids didn't leave the playground; they just learned to hide their screens under their desks.

The Strategy: Assign projects that require digital collaboration. Do not ban the group chat—require it. Have students submit screenshots of their decision-making on a shared Google Doc or Figma board. Teach them the etiquette of asynchronous communication.
