The year is 273 BCE, and the empire is ruled by Emperor Bindusara, the father of Ashoka. The scene shifts to the royal palace, where we see Ashoka, played by Sushant Das, as a young prince, fiery and restless. He is the son of Emperor Bindusara and Queen Dharma.
Ashoka, also known as Ashoka the Great, was an Indian emperor who ruled from approximately 269 BCE to 232 BCE. He is considered one of the greatest emperors in Indian history, known for his conquests, administrative skills, and patronage of Buddhism. Born in a wealthy and powerful family, Ashoka was exposed to the best education and training, which prepared him to take on the responsibilities of ruling an empire.
