- Download to USB: The BMW tool will automatically download the map files directly to your USB stick. Do not rename the folders.
- Go to the Car: Start the engine (or turn on ignition to save battery).
- Plug in the USB: Use the USB port in the center console or glovebox. Do not use the charging-only ports.
- The Prompt: iDrive will automatically detect the USB and ask: "Map update available. Start update?" Click Yes.
