- CPU upgrades limited to the compatible socket and BIOS microcode; check vendor CPU support lists.
- RAM upgrades limited to the board’s supported type and maximum capacity.
- Modern OSes can run, but booting from very large GPT drives or NVMe requires workarounds (e.g., boot from legacy bootloader on smaller disk or use a UEFI-capable boot card).
